When I am open my Macbook Pro M3, I see a black screen which is working because i have the brightness all the way up and I unlock it using my finger, I also see that when I unlock it I use the trackpad gestures to get in between screens, but the screen is black. I have to manually turn it off a then back off.. The macbook is like a week old, watched a lot of youtube videos none helped, any suggestions?

I had the same issue with a brand new MacBook Air M3, had it for a couple days and then I would open it up and the screen wouldn't come on no matter what I did. It got worse and worse so I took it into the Genius Bar and they couldn't figure it out. I ended up trading it in for a new one, a bit of a hassle. The second one I got (currently still have it), has been doing better but just had the same experience for the first time-- black screen, nothing I did changed anything. After closing it and opening it a couple times it came back on, but has me a little skeptical of the M3s now. Will definitely keep watching this thread...

Definitely contact Apple: Official Apple Support. It's new, and you should not have to cope with what appears to be abnormal behavior.
Perhaps it's something simple but determining the cause over this back-and-forth website exchange is certain to be time-consuming and tedious.

If there’s ANY doubt, return it for a full refund and get an entirely new unit.
I had this issue repeatedly on the same machine, during the work day. Suddenly some of the work spaces turn totally black on monitors and main screen.
