Mac Mini requires pin when locked from icloud but never set one up
locked my mac mini when was away on a trip and haven’t been able to unlock since it wants a code from the find my website but it won’t let me get one

If you remotely locked your Mini using Find My, all you need is the passcode you used when you remotely locked it. If you are unable to remember that passcode, follow one of the options described in the final section of If your Mac is lost or stolen - Apple Support: "If you can't unlock your Mac."
