I’m having difficulty transferring payment to my account, my husband has recently passed away, and set it up with him as the main person, and it will only open with Face ID. I don’t have a password for it.

Is there content connected to his account that you still want to use? If it is only music then you might download it all first, then see Leave Family Sharing - Apple Support and remove yourself from the family group so you can add your own payment method again. Thank you, I’ve ended up by removing myself from his account. I didn’t think about checking music first unfortunately, but I’ve got a lot on my mind at the moment and my thinking isn’t very creative. Thanks for your advice, it was better than apple tech 👍🏼
You're welcome. My wife died 18 months ago. There will be lots to do, but you will get through it.
