i have an old iphone 6 that got icloud locked because i attempted the wrong password too many times because i forgot it. the apple id on it is old and i cant remember since it was around 6 years ago. how do i bypass the activation lock without having to use the old apple id and its password?

Apple doesn’t keep your passwords around.

my problem is i have no proof of ownership because it was given to me by a friend and i cant remember the apple id. so i guess im stuck then.
