Why is there still no native paint/draw app on MacOS

It's the one thing I really miss about Windows.

I don't see why apple can't just let us draw on in the notes app like in iOS and iPadOS. I thought the new freeform app would finally be a native drawing app for macOS... but to my disappointment it wasn't.

What's the deal Apple? Add drawing to the notes app for macOS - for my sake. I like sketching out my ideas.

Cheers

I wouldn't use paint for any professional work either, but I've always found it useful for sketching out rough ideas. Flowcharts, mind-mapping, quick diagrams to show to a friend/colleague - things of that nature.

Maybe I'm in the minority for such use cases, but I don't think it would be a huge hassle to just add a drawing feature to Notes and Freeform on MacOS.
