Sometimes macOS Sonoma gets stuck on the Lock screen. Force a power down by holding the power button for 10 seconds. I find it best to first press the Caps Lock key so its LED lights up so when the LED goes out, you know the Mac is powered down. I've never had an issue logging in after a restart.

Have you tried using an external keyboard? If an external keyboard works, then it means you have a hardware issue with the laptop (most likely the built-in keyboard) which will need to be repaired.
See if you can boot into Safe Mode. Sometimes a keyboard may work before macOS begins to boot, but you can still use a wired USB external keyboard to activate Safe Mode. If you can boot into Safe Mode and the built-in keyboard works, then it most likely means you have an issue with some third party software you have installed.
i have had this issue
boot into recovery mode
open terminal from menu bar
type "resetpassword"
enter ur new password as "a"
type "reboot" into terminal
now the moment it turns on quickly press a and enter
then u can install root patches because that seems to be OCLP
and then reboot again
change your password back
and done! :)
Have the computer evaluated by the Professionals who have the Special Hardware Software and Expertise to diagnose the issue and offer possible solutions
Make an Appointment at the Apple Genius Bar or call 1 800 MyApple and have them evaluate the computer
Other locations call Centres

If as the Author has written the keyboard does not work.
How exactly will your above suggestion work ?
What Keyboard ?
The Internal and Builtin Keyboard like in your image above ?
Or an External Keyboard ?
If External Keyboard how exactly is it connected to the computer ?
I am using an External Apple Magic Keyboard connected via Bluetooth connection to a Headless computer
After the update to Sonoma 14.4 from the 14.3.1 and the computer restarted, the Bluetooth Connection just worked fine
Updated a M3 MBA from Sonoma 14.3 to Sonoma 14.4 using the Internal and Builtin Keyboard and it worked fine
If you have forgotten the Admin Password - please advise and we can help with that
The keyboard is not working I’m unable to type and the cursor is frozen
I did a restart more than 5 times still nothing. The keyboard is not working but the slot for inputting the password is beeping. So not sure what’s causing this
Hi. So my assumption is similarly to me, the keyboard works for about 15 seconds after boot before it locks up.
