My Apple Computer is locked because I don’t remember the password. I am unable to open the computer or change the password. The message read out says “your account is locked” and does not allow access to system settings.

The theft deterrent features are working as designed.
If there were an easy way to bypass that, it would not be a theft deterrent at all.
