Can't update or pair my Apple Watch

I have apple watch SE (paired with iphone 13) and it had been failing to update for a while. I didn't look into any troubleshooting at first, I just unpaired the watch and haven't been able to use it since. When I try to update, I always get a pop up saying the update failed with no further information.
