Remove duplicate photos from Monterey OS

Lots of people here use  PowerPhotos ($30) for all kinds of help with Photos-- and it has a good Duplicate finder. Dealing with duplicates is really hard, because we tend to have pictures that are similar, and a program must make some decisions about these images. So even in Ventura, where Photos does an excellent job of finding duplicates on its own, I sometimes use PowerPhotos as an additional check.

Since these apps find similar as well as exact copies, be sure to look at the details before deleting an image that the app tells you is a duplicate. Photos will not give up telling me these two pictures are duplicates, for instance:

So look before you delete! Both Photos and PowerPhotos transfer their "deletions" to Photos' Recently Deleted album, so you get a second chance, thankfully.
