MackBook Pro A1938 mid 2015. Trackpad and Keyboard working strangely.

Writing in Word or email etc, pressing trackpad only brings up option boxes, even in background. If I do manage to get the curser onto the text, the keyboard keys mostly give a loud beep or strange things like highlight all the text or some other function. I have only had this machine a couple of months so not familiar with it - I may have touched some keys inadvertently.

I would inspect the outside case for any sign of seam separation, ot not sitting flat on the table....


this would be an indicator of a swelling battery — one symptom is trackpad and keyboard anomalies.


In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"
