Apple Classroom on MacBooks - No "Lock in App after Opening" feature

I am setting up Apple Classroom for students using MacBooks without MDM. When I try to open up an app on the student devices, I do not see any option to "Lock in app after opening". For example, I can select the Keynote App but in the dialog there is no checkbox or slider to select "lock in app after opening". Is this feature not available for the MacBook App or students with MacBooks? I have it for my students with iPads from my Classroom App on my iPad.

Thanks for any input!
