Where is music stored in macOS Sonoma?

From iTunes to the Music app there have been a lot of changes over the years. I'm trying to find out where music that's in the Apple Music app is stored.

My Home/Music folder looks like this

The folder called Media contains another folder called Music. In there is my actually music tracks in folders with the artist's name.

Is this where everyone's music is stored? Do all systems look like this? Or do new systems organize content differently?

Thanks very much.

Yes, that's the way the Apple Music app stores music (much like iTunes did). The Music App uses the Music Library file there as a database to know and organize where all those tracks, albums and additional data are.

If you want to move the Library to a different location, you need to take the media folder in its entirety including the Music folder and the Music Library.musiclibrary file.
