Find and replace not seeing /n

I know that paragraph breaks are represented by /n.

In this instance I am trying to find all /n and replace with a space.

But when I enter these in the find and replace box the action buttons are greyed out.

What am I doing wrong?

In Find and Replace, I have entered \c, I have copied a paragraph symbol and pasted it into Find and Replace, I have copied a paragraph symbol with Command E as suggested in 2015, I have tried adding a tab after the paragraph symbol and selecting them both as suggested in 2015, but Find and Replace always changes it to a space so that it finds 2000+ spaces, but not the paragraph symbols. How do I get it to find paragraph symbols? I used to do this with no problem.

Find/replace invisibles in Pages This function used to be a straightforward batch process and it's gone now. I can't be the only person who had to go through somebody else's doc with double spaces after each period and replace them all one by one. Infuriating. I know some people have suggested fixes involving three keystrokes to delete a single space. Put this function back please.

It should be \n, not /n for paragraph marks.
