i have my weather app on my mac set for "my location". there is not an option to allow location services in privacy settings on the Mac. On my iphone i have it set to allow location while using the weather app or widget. So why still Cupertino?

ohhh I tried something and it worked. . I removed all of the locations from the Weather App that I had added and closed the application. When I reopened it, it asked me to use my location, so I said yes and now the widget is correct too!

if you open your widgets, can you "control-click" on the weather widget? then you should get an "Edit Weather" option.
and use that to set it to your desired city. just note that not every city is available. you may need to choose another nearby large city.

and AFAIK, you need to set the weather widget manually on the Mac. unlike on iPhone, where it can use locations services to set the city.
I have the same problem-no option under system settings/location services to allow location for weather, so my widget is showing Cupertino. I'm also unable to turn on location services in the actual weather app on my Macbook
