File Provider Storage(??)

iPad Air 2 | OS 15.8

hi!

I’m curious if anyone else has run into an issue with a “File Storage Provider” storing “On My iPad” files x2. I’ve been unable to complete a backup, and my storage is always maxed, in spite of having minimal apps downloaded.

In Settings > General > iPad Storage > On My iPad my Files are listed.

After a few seconds a File Provider Storage pops up. When clicked, “On My iPad” Files are listed again. I attached screenshots for reference.

I contacted Apple Support via chat and was advised to Backup, then explained the road block I run into when attempting to do so.

Before I make a trip to the Apple Store wanted to see if anyone else had these issues.
