I was having some difficulties figuring out how exactly to remove mine for a while but someone found the answer. Hopefully me sharing it in the comments below this question will mean some people will have to do a little less digging for answers
So you need to put the shortcuts you have added to your home screen on a separate page from the rest of your apps. Then hold your finger on an empty spot of the screen then click the little dots at the bottom to open the pages you have on your phone. You can only do this on iOS 14 or higher. Next, you need to click the check mark below the page with your shortcuts and then the minus button that appears above. Last thing you need to do is click remove on both of the things that pop up on your screen. Hope this helps!
