Address using too much memory on my MacBook Pro

I am using m1 mac, 8gb ram. whenever I turn on the sync of contact, the addressbooksourcesync uses about 6gb of ram (in Acitivity Monitor). I removed much of my contacts from 2600 to 900, and still have the same issue.

How can I resolve this issue?

Fixing Issues with Suggestd I've searched and only found old discussions pre-Ventura. I have a new M2 Mac Mini restored from Time Machine. Previous iMac ran Big Sur. A daemon called "suggestd" is using inordinate amounts of system memory. It will start in the hundred of MB and grow to 32GB following each restart. The Mac requires an automatic nightly restart complete with error report. Current working theory is this is resulting from some old bits of software that may have transferred during the restore. An old article tied this daemon to Contacts. I run Cardhop (and have contacted that developer awaiting a response) in place of Contacts. They both sync via iCloud. I'm looking for a solution that will allow this great computer to be stable.

Contactsd is using way too much CPU How can I stop contactsd to stop slowing down macbook (ventura)? Turned off icloud contact syncing, no change visible.

Apple Contacts crashes any time I use it Hello: Apple Contacts on my Mac crashes any time I try to do anything with it. I also cannot save new contacts from Apple Mail to Contacts like I used to. I think these problems began after upgrading to OS Ventura. Help please! Thank you

The Mac will use however much RAM (memory) it needs. We cannot control that. You can, however, enable RAM by periodically clearing the browser's memory.
