Unable to delete DuckDuckGo App on iPhone 12 Pro

The Duck Duck Go browser app, available in the App Store cannot be deleted. I downloaded this and used it for a while. I deleted the app in the usual way, but I can still search and find the app and use it despite there being no icon available to click on anywhere in my home screen. When I search for the app in the search bar, I can click on it there and it will open back up as if it were never deleted. There’s something strange going on and I would like to completely delete the app. I’ve seen others complaining about this and the responses they are getting are not helping because it is a genuine issue/bug.
