Exporting.mp4 in Compressor

I FCP, on Share, I can change from ProRes to “Publish” then select “Computer” and h.264 compression. Out pops a mp4 file. How can I replicate this setting in Compressor? The manual just talks about HTTP streaming.

Exporting MP4 Seems like there is no straight forward way to export an MP4. The only way I can do it is export it with Compressor using the "HTTP Live Streaming" preset but that seems like weird option for MP4. Otherwise I export it as a Quicktime MOV then need to re-compress in another app like Handbrake which diminishes the quality and take more time re-compressing the file twice. What's the best way? BTW, reason I need MP4 is satisfy non Apple clients who don't want MOV.

Reproduce FCPX's H264 export video settings Hello I notice that for a given FCPX project to be exported, the Master file H264 export settings from FCPX's interface renders a bigger (and better looking) video than with Compressor's H264 settings. The problem I have with FCPX's export file is that, unlike Compressor, it can't support a PCM audio file, only AAC. Does anyone know what custom settings must be used in Compressor to reproduce FCPX's H264 export video settings ? Thank you very much.

How do I convert mpv files to mp4? How do I convert mpv files to mp4? I need to record my Keynote presentation and then add them to YouTube Studio; however, YouTube Studio only takes mp4. I can't figure out how to convert them without using a third party service. Any help out there on this one?

Click the + at the bottom left to add a new preset.

Choose MPEG-4:

Give it a distinctive name.

Then on the right pane adjust the setting to your liking.

When it's done, just use this new setting.
