How do I reset the Screen Time passcode on my iPad?

So one day I was on my ipad and everything was going well, I went on Pinterest and saw really pretty photos so I tried to download it but it said “This app does not have access to your photos or videos. Enable access in privacy settings.” But I didn’t do anything! So I watched a video on how to try fix the issue and I tried it but it didn’t work at all! So I go onto screen time and I go onto content and privacy restrictions and there is a button that says content and privacy restrictions, but that button is off and I need a screen time password to turn it on. I don’t know I I have to make the button go though. For the screen time passcode I don’t remember setting one up because if I did I would have written it on notes, and I’ve tried almost all the passcodes I would use but I just doesn’t let me go on! So now I can’t do lots of thing like adding photos for PowerPoint slides, word document, and so on I am really upset but it might be because this iPad is kinda old and every day there is a new problem, and the next day it’s all fixed, so should I just wait it out or do something? I use an IPad Air 3 so maybe some methods won’t work but please help me!

If you have forgotten the ScreenTime passcode, the procedures outlined within this link should resolve the problem:

If you forgot your Screen Time passcode - Apple Support

If your iPad is capable of supporting iPadOS 13.x or later, you should update to the most current version before attempting to resolve a forgotten ScreenTime passcode. The most recent iPadOS updates have introduced a new mechanism whereby a forgotten ScreenTime passcode can be reset without wiping the iPad.

To reset a forgotten ScreenTime passcode on older versions of iOS/iPadOS, the iPad must be complete reset “as new”, losing all locally stored data:

Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings

In this situation, you’ll not be able to restore your data from an iCloud or iTunes backup - as the forgotten passcode is integral to the backup.
