I have two Panasonic TV’s probably about 6-7 years old and neither of them have the Apple TV app. I go into Apps Market on the TV’s and there are all the other TV apps but no AppleTV and no search facility? Frustrating as I have just signed up for a 3 month free Apple TV and can only get it on my iPad etc. Do I need to get new TV’s. Solution appreciated.

So models from before 2020? These may not be running Android TV system software, as I think that began in 2020 for Panasonic. I think the prior Firefox OS TV system software, and its derivative MyHomeScreen system software, had an Apps Market. Android TV system software has the Play Store for a somewhat similar app repository. That is a different platform, though. Apple hasn’t made apps for the ‘old’ platform.
Do I need to get new TVs?
Newer TVs may support the Apple TV app. For Panasonic: models from 2020 or later, with Android TV 8 or later.
Else connect an external HDMI streaming device.

doubt they keep it up to date any more though
and of cause you can use their feedback to suggest they add support for older tv's

that being said that the power of smart tv's is much less than the appletv box or console or the likes
and judging from posts around here then it seems the tv app on smart tvs cause people more problems than the boxs
there are better and cheaper ways then to buy a new tv is the models are too old for the app
