Safari 17.1.2 BUG: Will not copy/paste from an Apple wireless keyboard.

Since recently upgrading Safari 17.1.2 and running MacOS Sonoma 14.1.2 (23B92) my wireless Apple keyboards will not complete the copy/paste function. Everything else is working fine. I have tried the usual fixes such as killing the pboard using Terminal or Activity Monitor. These do not work. Is there a fix coming for this bug?

The expected behavior is that every time I press the down (or up) arrow, the web page would move down (or up) 1 line. Actual behavior is pressing the down (or up) arrow leads to continuous scrolling that ends when it reaches the bottom (top) of the web page or if override by using scroll wheel on mouse. Arrow keys work as expected in Firefox and elsewhere on Mac. 2nd keyboard behaves identically. The problem does not exist when I log in as different user. Any idea on how to fix?

Arrow key scrolling broken in Safari 16.5 (Ventura) As of recently, hitting arrow keys as described on this page: Keyboard shortcuts and gestures in Safari on Mac – Apple Support (UK) does not work as described on that page. That page says. as of now: > Scroll up, down, left or right: Press the arrow keys. However, pressing arrow keys does not result in that behavior. Instead, behavior is erratic with page scrolling randomly to top or bottom, or nothing is happening at all. Since I have been using arrow keys often before, this must’ve started recently. Restarting Safari doesn’t help. This affects all and every website, including this Apple website. This happens with both built-in keyboard on my MacBook Pro M1 as well as newly bought external Bluetooth keyboard from Logitech.

address bar in Safari not working Yesterday my Mac (2018 Pro, Sequoia 15.7) updated Safari to V26.0. Now I am unable to type in the address bar of a tab, copy the URL, refresh the tab etc. A new tab allows typing. I have rebooted in safe mode, opened a private window, removed extensions, scanned settings and switched off private relay and none make a difference (with restarts). CMD-L will show a URL and allow copy, but still does not allow typing. Nothing I've tried changes the behaviour. Grateful for solutions and/or ideas! Thanks
