Just to be clear. Do you mean the screen goes black after 30 seconds even if you're actively using it? Or do you mean that you can change the time to anything other than 30 seconds? If the former, you may well have a hardware issue. If the latter, there are two things I can think of. Do you have Low Power Mode enabled? See Settings>Battery>Low Power mode. The other possibility is that you have a work account on your phone that has imposed that restriction. If that's the case, your only option is to remove the work account.
