How to view old photo library without touching current one

I'm trying to reclaim some disk space, and I found another file called iPhoto Library, last modified in 2017. Both files are stored in /Users/Me/Pictures/.

I assume this is my old photo library, which was at some point migrated to the new library. Before I delete the file, I'd like to look at this library. How can I open this file and see the photos without impacting my existing library. I don't want to end up with a bunch of duplicates. Can I put away the current library?
