My iPad 9th gen camera

I have worn out my iPad a bit (not really though) So I took it on a dusty drive first and second dropped but not hard. Ever since the front and back cams don’t work I got a new phone because I only had a iPad (I’m a kid) so I can use my phone for pics and vids but my iPad on the other hand no anything I can do without spending money? Please help a bit

Back Camera not working on I phone 15 after iso 18.2 update Since the 18.2 update, the camera on my iPhone 15 does not work. It takes pictures and stores them in my camera roll when I'm using the forward-facing screen. It does not take or store pictures when the back of the phone is pointed towards my target. iPhone 12 Pro camera shows black on 0.5x and 1x, but works on 2x and selfie mode My iPhone 12 Pro's viewfinder won't show me anything - it is just a black screen. I can't take any photos on 0.5x or 1x, but I can on 2x and selfie mode. However, I can't actually see the photo I'm taking when I take it, it just shows black and saves the picture to my camera roll. In Snapchat and other third party apps the selfie camera works fine, but it won't let me switch to the back camera. In WhatsApp, though, I can switch to the back camera but I'm stuck at 2x and above. Switching to the back camera in the native app is a challenge as well and only works some of the time. There was a short period of time where I could see very limited stuff (at a very low exposure I think - but I couldn't manually adjust it) on 0.5x, but 1x was the exact view as 0.5x, but it worked fine at 2x and selfie mode. Now it just won't work. I have dropped my phone and I think that it might be a hardware issue but if the 2x view and selfie camera are working fine and I can't see it then it suggests it's a software problem? I can also see the yellow boxes on the native app when faces are detected, but not the actual image. I noticed the issue and updated to iOS 18.3.1, but this hasn't helped - if anything made it worse. I've tried everything - everything on the Apple website - and I've restarted the phone loads. My flashlight won't work either. I don't know what to do because repairs are expensive and if it's unnecessary I don't want to spend money on it. Advice please? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Back Camera and Flashlight doesn't work after iOS 18, 18.1, 18.2 This all started with the iOS 18 update. Iphone 14, never dropped or damaged. Brought it to the apple store and they ran all of the diagnostics/troubleshooting, including the obvious ones you do before going to store (restart, reset settings, check for obstructions/overheating/etc). We even did a hard reset where they plugged my iphone into iTunes and reset everything. According to their diagnostics it's not a software issue, and all of the hardware is working fine. The alternative they suggested was trading in, but at a decreased value because the camera isn't working. I've seen posts here and on Reddit recounting similar experiences, but nobody has a clear answer aside from "restart your phone." I'm thinking if more people submit tickets on this matter, maybe it'll be addressed with the next update? For context, phone was working fine until the update, and the flashlight or back camera no longer work after the update. The camera can go into front-facing mode and do selfies every once in a while, but mostly it's just a black screen. If the back camera even gets to where you can point and shoot a picture, the screen just freezes wherever the camera is pointing, but won't snap the picture. It's just a frozen image of the last thing you pointed the camera at. And then it freezes and force-closes. I tried a third-party camera app and it worked fine until 18.1 rolled out (both front and rear camera), but now that doesn't even work. If I use the third-party camera app, and put the flash on, it works and I can get photos, but with blue steaks across the image. I do work meetings with my phone through slack and Google Meet, and the front facing camera works without fault, but the actual "camera" apps-- the one that comes with the iPhone, and the third-party one-- don't work anymore. Flashlight doesn't work unless I use the third-party camera app and put the flash on. So all the hardware seems to be in order, but not for its intended apps. I don't think I'm the only person with this problem. On paper my phone's health is 100% (Apple confirmed this, and basically said "huh, that's weird"); no water damage, no drops, no cracked screen or lenses, etc... the Apple Store confirmed this, but have no solution other than "buy a new phone." But why would I buy a new phone if this is clearly a software issue. It may be an issue that wasn't widely reported, but there are people on this support page with similar issues, as well as on other online forums without getting a clear answer on how to fix the issue. Will a new update address this bug, or are we just not able to use our cameras now?

Make an appointment at the nearest Apple location to have your iPad evaluated for free.

Once the diagnostics are complete, the staff will explain your options.
