Can I Use DisplayLink dock to avoid the need to close lid on MBA -M3

I have a MBA m2 and use displaylink dock for 2 external displays and air screen. Can I do this same setup with MBA m3?

Would like to not have to close the lid and use its screen . Hopefully DisplayLink dock will allow me to continue using the 2 extra monitors and the air screen on MBA M3?

How do I keep the Dock at the bottom of my main screen when using a secondary monitor? So I purchased a small 12.3 narrow IPS Screen to set below my main computer screen in order to watch content on it without interrupting my main screen. It works great but I am unable to keep the "dock" at the bottom of the main screen. I can lock the dock to the right or left of the main screen but NOT the bottom of the main screen as it always jumps to the bottom of little tiny screen below. So now when I use Launchpad to open an app, it opens in the little screen with absolutely useless tiny icons. While I am not a fan of having my dock on the right or left it does work that way. In settings, the Menu Location does work, but there is just no way to select the main screen as the "bottom" for the Dock. This sucks and it kinda ruined the purpose of buying the little screen. lock dock to one of two screens on 2019 MacPro Big Sur I have 2 monitors connected to a 2019 Mac Pro running 11.4 Big Sur. I want to lock the dock to one of the screens, but if I sneeze, the dock jumps from one screen to the other. This instability of the interface REALLY annoying!!!!! Is there a way to lock the dock? If not, it shows that Steve jobs' guiding hand is really dead........ Any info gratefully received.

Can I user both MacBook and Studio display at the same time while they are connected? Please can someone clarify using my MacBook M3 with the studio display. I have read into using my macbook and the display together, but appearently M3 chip macbooks need to be closed in order for the display to work, is this true? I work in a sector that requires large amounts of reading and writting/typing, so have a display screen and being able to type on my MacBook would be perfect. Being able to read a document on the display whilst typing up documents on my macbook is best for my job, can I use both at the same time or is it true that my macbook needs to have the lid closed. I would like to know now before investing in the studio display as it will be pointless otherwie. Thank you. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

I'm not going to make any guarantees, but I don't see any reason why the M3/Sonoma combination would not work, if the M2/Sonoma combination currently does.

Work as in "with all of the compromises which come with using second-class DisplayLink video outputs in the place of first-class hardware-accelerated video ones."
