Apple Mail Remind Me: Reminders Can't Be Deleted
Hi there, I'm using Sonoma 14.4 and the Apple Mail desktop app. For the past few weeks, I've been running into an odd issue that I can't seem to resolve.
Earlier last year, I marked multiple emails as "remind me" to pop back into my inbox later. As expected, when these dates arrived, these emails would pop up in my inbox with the remind me label for review (very helpful).
After reviewing these emails, I removed their reminder status by clicking on email, then clicking the reminder banner's edit button, then clicking "Remove Reminder".
Here is where the problem lies: even if I explicitly click "Remove Reminder" on these reminders, they NEVER EVER GO AWAY. The emails simply pop back up instantly into the bottom of my inbox and retain the reminder status despite my best efforts.
I've tried a number of things to fix this:
- Restarting Apple Mail
- Rebooting
- Deleting emails with reminder status (they still come back)
- Etc.
I'm at a loss on what I can do here and it's becoming a huge annoyance as my inbox is filled up with "remind me" emails that are all from last year and can't go away.
For what it's worth, I'm seeing this behavior both on a work Gmail account synced with Apple Mail as well as my personal iCloud paid account/email.
