After my last software update a pop up USBserver would like to access data from other apps appeared, the options on the pop up are Don't Allow or Allow. I am concerned that it may compromise my security on my MacBook Pro or is it okay to accept

USBserver, LOGINserver, and NETserver are all installed at /Library/Printers/Brother/Utilities/

As I recall Brother installed them as Login Items. Remove them from Login Items by following the instructions under Add or remove automatic items in Open items automatically when you log in on Mac - Apple Support:

• Remove a login item: Select the name of the item you want to prevent from opening automatically, then click the Remove button — below the list.

You can also remove them from /Library/Printers/Brother/Utilities/ by dragging them to the Trash. They are not required to use your Brother printer.
