IPhone X Keyboard Screen burn in

What the heck? The past week I see a ghost of my keyboard constantly, especially annoying when viewing pics. It’s just there and it wasn’t before. This is since the update to ios 16.7.5.

I saw a lot of people with this problem in past years, but does anyone have a fix??

Did the last update include this as punishment for still having an iPhoneX?

Help…please…..

not everyone can afford a new phone 😢

If you are seeing a ghost image of your keyboard, then it is probably not a screen burn in.

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

Thanks Jacob, I saw that post before I posted this-because that post was so old. I didn’t see a specialist resolve the issue there however. Unless I misunderstood, it seemed like people disagreeing, a lot of frustration, and people getting phones and displays replaced.

However since that was 4 years ago I was hoping it was resolved. I believe that was also about using dark mode, which I haven’t used recently.

I restarted my phone of course-guess I have to bring my phone in.

OH! If by solution, you mean the comment about using screensaver to fix the issue-he/she was mistakenly talking about an actual computer display. Unfortunately the problem everyone was having was with, not only iphone, but apparently just the iphoneX.

Thank you for trying 😢
