When opening a CSV file, it doesn’t retain formatting and is unreadable

Hi, I have a trouble about open a csv file with number.

It always show like this table, words stick together...

if I export to excel, it show exactly the same in excel...


Really appreciate if someone can give me some advices. thank you

Hi Gwyneth,


I opened this test CSV in TextEdit:



When I opened the CSV in Numbers, this notice appeared:



Click on the notice to see Import Settings



If you don't click on the Notice, it will disappear after a few seconds. But you can bring back the Import Settings with

Format Panel > Table > (Scroll to the bottom)
