Bought item on canceled card, would like to refund

Recently bought a pair of boots that i would like to return, i bought the boots through apple pay on a canceled card, id like to know if i would still receive the refund.

Apple is not a bank and does not approve or decline transactions. If you request a refund from the merchant, the merchant will send the funds back to the original payment method. If the original payment method is closed, the issuing bank can decide to accept or reject the refund payment. If funds are rejected by the bank, the merchant will receive the funds back into his account.
You may want to discuss this with a store manager and the bank that issued the card. The store may be willing to offer an alternate refund method. The bank may be willing to receive the funds, depending on the reasons the account was closed.
