Cannot add my me.com email account on my MacBook Air M3

I’m just start to use my new MacBook Air M3, super happy :)

But I cannot add my me.com account. When I add a new iCloud account it does not offer to me the possibility to add my me.com email. It stays with the iCloud account that already were installed.

Kind of important to use emails in my laptop, so please… help!

About your @icloud.com, @me.com and @mac.com email addresses

excerpt from above like and very important information moving forwards on this issue

If you created one or more email aliases for your account, be aware of the following:

  • You can change or delete an email alias, but if you delete an @mac.com or @me.com email alias, you can't add it back to your iCloud account.
  • You can't sign in to iCloud.com with an email alias. Sign in with your @icloud.com email address or the Apple ID that you use with your iCloud account.

Do not understand the problem.

Running 1 M1, 1 M2 1 M3 and an iPhone all with the latest versions of macOS and iOS

Have the 3 different Apple Mail Domains xx@mac.com, xx@me.com and xx@icloud.com domains

Any messaged addressed to any of the above domain names all arrive in my Inbox

I an choose to Send and e-mail from any of the 3 domain names

The recipient of the e-mail will receive any of the messages I send
