My Notes have disappeared suddenly from my iPhone 11

My notes disappeared all of a sudden. If I swiped down and did a search i could only see what came up in the title of the search. Went to the Apple Store and they did a reset. 5 useless notes from 2016 appeared!! And still no notes and I lost the ability to search now as well! What is wrong with Apple!
