11" MacBook Air MC969LL/A Just erase and cannot re-install Lion/ No disk to choose install on?

Screen that is showing is Mac OS X Lion with Select a Disk where you want to install Mac OS X which is blank.

Anyone know how I can proceed to re-install Lion after having erased content?

Pior to erase this unit worked perfectly.

This Apple laptop model is capable of supporting macOS High Sierra (10.13.6). Is there any particular reason you only want to install OS X Lion on it?

Did you follow the steps in this support article to erase this Mac's system drive?

... and then used this one to reinstall macOS?

tayefromaustin I think you're at the point in which you may be able to reinstall Lion, but you have to reformat the internal storage device. Unless you created a Time Machine backup first, reinstalling High Sierra is no longer a (practicable) option for reasons that probably aren't worth discussing. It's a good candidate for Linux (for example) but Lion is not useful for any practical purpose. Almost no websites would load, no matter the browser. Most email services won't work. Forget the App Store.

High Sierra wouldn't be much better. Linux would be a much more viable choice, but that's for a dedicated hobbyist — the only person who would really be interested in it anyway.
