Dell e514dw scanner fix macOS 14 Sonoma - Get scanning to work with Preview

I'm putting this out there as there is no information available how to fix this problem of getting scanning to work on M1 M2 mac running macOS 14. Dell does not offer any help or updates. Apple does not seems support either.

Eventually, after trying out everything I could, below method worked.

Download and install "Printer_E514dw_Driver_Dell_A03_MAC.dmg" from dell support site.

As you know it will require Rosetta to make Intel software be compatible on M-chip.

Install the scanner drivers from the installation or full installation.

There's also version A04 - which does not work

Only A03 seems to work or the only one that includes scanner drivers.

Once, installation is done reboot the mac.

Then, import from DELL MFP e514dw... should be available in Preview.
