App update via Apple Business Manager

I built an iOS app (let's say v1.0.0) and distributed privately to my client in Apple Store Connect via Apple Business Manager. My client then distributed the app to their staff via redemption code and staff successfully installed v1.0.0 in their iphone. Now, there is an new featured added to new version says v1.1.0 and already approved, reviewd and distributed in Apple Store Connect.

I have few questions

  1. Is there anything, I need to config in Apple Store Connect/ my client to config the Apple Business Manager in order to allow whose installed v1.0.0 upgrade to v1.1.0?
  2. Is it require new redemption code for those v1.0.0 in order to upgrade to v.1.1.0?
  3. I read some article online, and some of those are saying as long as you distrubted in Apple Store Connect, no matter installed via redemption code/ MDM with v1.0.0 should automatically updated to v1.1.0 but probably take 3-4 days. Not sure if that is true.

Your assistance is tremendously valuable and deeply appreciated. I am immensely grateful for your help.

AFAIK, no, no, and automatic app updates can lag by days or — particularly for updates to iOS itself — by maybe a week or so, respectively.

Other considerations here can include transient or terminated employees retaining access to these apps in BYOD cases, among other issues.

If there’s any sort of scale here, you’re headed for MDM, if one is not already in use.
