I am unable to download apps on my iPad. It tells me ‘payment method failed’ and I need to update it

So my brother used my ipad to buy something on a mobile game. It was like 10 bucks. But I'm very sure that the credit card that was linked to my account only have 3 bucks left. The payment still went through and I received the items in game. Now when I try to download something it tells me I need to update my payment information and it keeps telling me the payment method failed. What should I do?

You need to make sure the payment method has enough money to complete the purchase.

The purchase was made, but likely still has a pending amount to complete, as such your account is now in bad standing. You need to make sure your card is chargeable for the remainder of the value of the purchase that was unable to be charged.
