When I click on the info button it says: you can allow people to contact you at (my number) in apps and services using your Apple account, play games using game centre, share photos and files, collaborate on documents and more. If you want to remove this number, you can do that in two-factor authentication settings. My iMessage seems to be working fine and I checked the settings for iMessage and FaceTime and all looks fine. My iMessages are sending to other people in groups with my number and my Apple ID We got the new iPhone 16s and purchased the Apple one and shared with our family. Whenever I send messages to anyone in my “family” it will switch back and forth sending the message from Apple ID email address and my number. The weirdest part is that ive removed my email from my iMessage in setting and it’s sending a group message to my family from my phone number to their phone number AND my email address.

New device messages Suddenly getting a cascade of notices that a new device is accessing Message. It is ALL of my current devices. Why is this happening? When I go to Settings, all devices listed are my actual devices. HELP! NOTE: I had to pick a device to send this message, but it is ALL of them.

Read this document about iMessage (blue) and SMS/MMS (green) text messages --> What is the difference between iMessage and SMS/MMS? - Apple Support

- iMessage = blue bubble. This is message sent between Apple devices only, over WiFi or cellular-data.

- Text Message = green bubble. These are 'regular' text messages (SMS) or a text+media messages (MMS) sent over a cellular text-messaging plan (note it says "Text Message" at the top). These can communicate between Apple mobile devices and non-Apple phones.
