After updating to Sonoma 14.4, my Canon printer will no longer print wirelessly from my iMac. There have been a couple of news articles this week denoting issues with printers, USB hubs, etc. after users have updated to 14.4.
Accordingly, does anyone have a work around? Is Apple aware of this issue?
Thank you.
The link provided is predicated on the user having downloaded and installed some piece to Software from Canon to allow the Canon Printer to function wirelessly.
What is important to note, the Third Party Software from Canon needs to be Compatible with the version of macOS it is being used on.
The compatibility issue belongs Solely upon the Third Party Developer.
It is not Apple who owns or develops Third Party Software for this printer
This case Sonoma version 14.4

" USB hubs " are also Third Party Hardware and here too Apple neither Owns or Developers Third Party Devices like USB Hubs.
USB Hubs, in general, have been a hot topic beginning back in macOS 12 Monterey released Oct 27, 2021
At that time, USB Hubs, be they Self powered or USB powered, it was usually the Chip Set in the Third Party Hub which was the determining factor if the USB Hub would or would not work on macOS
