Problem with indexing external SSD and HDD on MacBook

On the internal storage of the macbook, the search works perfectly, but when you connect external drives to the macbook, there are files on them, but through the search, it does not search for them at all. File system ExFAT. there are no disks disabled from search in spotlight search settings. what could be the problem? I will be grateful for your help!!!

Try reindexing Spotlight on the drive by adding it to the exclusion list, then removing. If that fails, look for a hidden folder named .Spotlight-v100 on the external? That folder is required for it to be searchable. If it does exist, delete it, then re-enable indexing on the drive.

To view hidden items in Finder, use the keyboard shortcut, cmd-shift-. ← that period is part of the command. It doesn’t work on some keyboard layouts.
