Camera App Freezing/Not Saving to Camera Roll

I have an IPhone 13 running the latest software update (17.4) with over 60 GB of storage remaining on my phone. Prior to getting the new software update, my iPhone camera app would open but anytime I pressed the button to capture an image, no photo would save to my camera roll. Other apps such as Instagram and WhatsApp would allow me to use my camera and save images to my camera roll, it was just the Camera App itself that would not work. After getting the new update, my camera app will open and once it is focused will freeze. All other apps are still able to use the camera and camera roll aside from the default Camera App on IPhone, please help.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. Camera app issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone camera functions.
