why have multiple apps that used to work on my iphone13 pro suddenly stopped working while they still work on my ipad. i deleted and reloaded, no luck

Ok went to Genius Bar… turns out third party security sw (macafee) was causing the issue… had it awhile but must not have been compatible w a recent iOS update… May play with it but bottom line, removing it solved issue. Thanks for the help.

Ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest iOS version and that is iOS 17.4

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

Let’s try and reset Network Settings. NOTE: Once the network settings are reset, then you will have to enter password(s) for the Wi-Fi network(s) again as you log on to them. You will not lose any data on the iPhone.
Open Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Transfer or Reset iPhone ➡️ Reset ➡️ Reset Network Settings.

Do these apps not get an internet connection on Wi-Fi and on Cellular? Do you use any VPN software on your iPhone?

Ok… i alwaysq have both Wi-Fi and cellular turned on together. I don’t have VPN enabled. Just did a quick test and turning each off ( Wi-Fi and cellular) individually , I can still do a Google search w each individually and at least one streaming site works w either but the others don’t see an internet connection w either individually… and of course still dont work w both enabled either. I don’t usually go fooling with the settings for any of these apps but did check that a couple still have cellular enabled in the app as expected. Hmmm…
Thanks for the idea but no go. I reset the network and then before i reinstalled Wi-Fi, I tried the apps w just cellular and they didn’t work. I reinstalled Wi-Fi and they still didn’t work. My iPad which only has WiFi, no cellular, still has no issue.
Thanks Axel. But heat is still not on. Tried your suggestion but several apps still do not make an internet connection. I’m up to date w 17.4iOS
