I changed MDMs. It has been seamless except for where I have paid apps on an ipad. If the teacher wiped the iPad and deleted everything--the paid app is gone from the iPad but on Apple School Manager it is still listed as belonging to the old MDM location. Thanks for your help. Dianne
You'll need to move the VPP token to your new MDM. You'll need to download it again, then upload it in the MDM interface.
Unless you revoke the licenses first, you might not be able to reuse them. I would first revoke licenses in current MDM, then transfer over to another location in Apple School Manager to make sure you get all apps out. Otherwise, use Apple Configurator for Mac to revoke licenses if you no longer have access to the former MDM.
