Handwriting-Like (Script) Fonts - Best Choice across word processors?

I'm using different fonts for the notes written by three characters in my novel. The contest I'm entering requires my submission to use PDF or a Microsoft Word document.

The main body is Times New Roman, which wont be a problem.

But for the notes I'm using: Bradley Hand, HanziPen TC, American Typewriter, (light & regular) and, Courier (New, and regular).

I'm using Pages 13.2 on a MacBook Air.

Is there anyway to see what they will look like in PDF or Word?

Thanks!

MacBook Air 13″, OS X 10.10

Pages allows you to export to PDF and you can view that in Apple's Preview, or most other PDF readers. A Word document exported from Pages, and viewed by single-clicking on it in the Finder and pressing the space bar (Quick Look) — or even opened in the free LibreOffice Writer, may still look different than how it appears in a current version of MS Word.

You really need access to MS Word, whether free access to its Microsoft Office Web version of it, your own, or someone else's Word in Microsoft 365/Office 2021 for Mac.

Font subsets will make it into the PDF, but Apple's Pages does not embed fonts within exported Word documents, only the font references. That means if the font is not present in MS Word, it may attempt font substitution. Microsoft Word has an embed font option on its Preferences : Save panel and that may suggest that you use this feature in Word if PDF is not an option.

Handwriting (script) fonts are a personal preference and Google Fonts has some free choices. So does dafont. If you choose fonts from these sites, then you will need to embed them in a Word document for cross-platform document exchange. LibreOffice Writer (e.g. 24.2.1) has a File menu Properties… panel whose Font tab allows one to optionally select font embedding in the current document before exporting to Word.
