"Clean up" Function not working properly in MAC desktop

Clean Up function not working properly since I updated to Sonoma for Mac Desktop. In the past, when I click "Clean up" It will snap my folders and files in place, without entirely changing their positions on Desktop.

However, my issue now is that when I click "clean up" it snaps all the files to the right-hand side of the screen and arrange them in a weird way, similar to "Clean up by".

Is there a way to fix this issue? Thanks xx
