Find My is turned on but I can't locate or track iPhone

when I log into my iCloud it is showing that my device is offline.

The phone will display as "Offline" for several reasons:

• The battery has run down
• The phone has been powered off
• The phone does not have an Internet connection where it is currently located

In addition, iPhone thieves are very fond of placing a phone in a special type of bag that will not allow the phone to send or receive a signal, so it won't matter what status the phone might be in.

Unfortunately, there is not really anything else that you can do at this point other than check a few times each day to see if the status of the phone has changed

Apple does not track phones using either the serial number or IMEI.

Your carrier can track the phone using the IMEI, but they will only usually do this in cases of a missing person or other serious emergency. The carrier will require a court order to track the phone

So you are saying it cannot be tracked by imei?

The carrier can track the phone using IMEI in special cases......like a missing person.....but they will require a court order for this.
