The best 22-24" Monitor for M2 MacBook Air
Hi everyone!
I'm looking to get a monitor for my M2 macbook air that I can use as the main screen, with the mac in clamshell mode. I do a lot of desk work and have back pain from using the macbook. My problem is I also have fairly sensitive eyes so I need a monitor which is super crisp and with uniform lighting, like the retina displays on the macs.
My first idea was to get an iMac M1 but I also need to wonder around the office sometimes to take calls and stuff so I would not like to have 2 separate computers. I'm also thinking longer term when I'd have 2 computers to replace.
I still found some stock of the 24" Ultrafine 24MD4KL. It's 800€. I don't know what the initial pricing was but seems a little high.
I don't want larger monitors... even the 24" seems a little too much. Right now I'm using a QHD Lenovo Q24h-10 monitor and while the text and colours are good enough, you can clearly see that it gets darker towards the edges.
My questions are:
Is the LG Ultrafine at the level of the M1 iMacs? Will I have the same perfect image, crisp text and uniform lighting across the screen?
Do you think it will be compatible with new Macs in 2-3 years when I'll need a new macbook?
If the answer to both questions is yes, I think the LG would be the best deal.
Or are there other options out there?
