Problems Transferring Telegram App

I have been using Telegram on a android phone for ages now, I have upgraded to an iphone with a new number. I have install Telegram on my iPhone and logged in successfully with old old number.

However when I go to the change number on the iPhone and try to change to my new number I get the message it is not possible to change your number on a newly added account wait one hour and try again.

Been like that for 24 hours now - please help

iMessage on iPhone and iPad at same time Trying to sync iPhone and iPad to receive the same messages In the message app. When going to settings on the iPhone under messages-Imessage-send & receive is my number. On iPad send & receive says apple id in gray and I cannot change it. ?
