No, because it is a problem with your phone or your router, not something that Apple can fix by waving a magic wand.

Most basic troubleshooting:

  • Restart your router by removing all power from it for 15-30 seconds (even if other devices are working with the router)
  • Do you use VPN? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN.
  • Forget the network, then reconnect to it
  • Reset Network Settings:Open Settings
    • Tap General
    • Tap Transfer or Reset Phone
    • Tap  Reset
    • Tap Reset Network Settings
    • This will erase all Wi-Fi passwords, but will not result in any other data loss.

First I should have said that the wifi connection issue only happened at my home. My internet service is with Bell Canada (fibre) the router is the Bell 3000.

my wife’s cell ( iPhone 12) had no problems.

my tablet had no problems. When outside my home I had no wifi issues when using others (Mall, airport. Hospital wifi). only at my home service.

someone on this board had suggested that I ask Bell for a gigahub router as they felt that it would resolve the issue. I was not able to upgrade as the bell tech guy told me that I needed an upgraded fiber line.

I’m guessing, perhaps the wifi signal from the Bell 3000 may not be strong enough to connect to IOS 17.4. Maybe the D-link acts as a booster.. it’s all a guess. ✌️
