Carplay Calls Very Quiet

While using carplay on my aftermarket Sony stereo using a wired connection, my calls are very quiet for me to the point where I can only hear them talking if the volume is all the way up (50/50), but it is still too quiet to tell what is being said. Also with the volume that high there is a pretty audible buzzing. The person on the other end can hear me just fine, it's just my end. Music on Spotify through carplay works fine most of the time, except sometimes it goes a little quiet and adjusting the volume knob doesn't really affect the volume, maybe a little sometimes. This is the stereo I have, and I am using an IPhone 14 Pro on ios-17.4 (17.4.1 is the newest version at the moment, I just haven't had the chance to update yet).

Is there any known fix for this, or is anyone else having this issue? Please help in any way you can.
